Jupiter Jar
This rounded ceramic vase is made using the Nerikomi technique — combining three different coloured stoneware clays to create a marbled surface that echoes the swirling bands of Jupiter. Each form is hand-thrown and fired at 1250ºC, with a soft matte white glaze overlaying the layered clay beneath.
Inspired by planetary movement and the dynamic surface of Jupiter, the piece captures a sense of quiet turbulence — where colour, pattern, and form come together in slow, orbiting motion.
The marbled clay carries depth and variation, making each jar entirely unique.
Details:
• Approximate size: H 12cm × D 12cm
• Colour: Multi
• Handmade in the UK
• Hand wash recommended
